"In August 2006, after a heavy rainstorm, my laundry room drain backed up and flooded my basement and rental apartment. The insurance company, Co-operators, for mold prevention, cut off all my drywall 3 feet from the ground and dried out the basement. I was told their contractors were backlogged and it would probably take a month - 6 weeks to get repairs done. I asked if my contractor, Clint Marks, could quote on the job.
His price to repair the drywall and replace the carpeting was acceptable to the insurance company, but the main thing was he was able to get the job done prior to his stated completion date. Both the insurance company and I were happy with the job performed. Thanks Clint for getting me back in operation as quickly as you did." Don Moffat
"CNS Renovations came into our home to initially clean up and restore our basement area after it had suffered water and mold damage caused by a faulty hot water heater.
Since basically everything had to be torn apart to ensure the mold was eliminated we decided to have CNS carry out additional work to modernize and upgrade this area of our home (over and above repairing the walls, replacing the flooring and damaged fixtures). They took on the task of removing a wall with a "bricked in" wood-burning fireplace and replacing it with built-in shelving units and a structure for a "floating" gas fireplace. They enlarged the bathroom area, installed a new corner shower unit, French patio doors, lighting fixtures and additional electrical outlets. All work was carried out in a timely and professional manner and they graciously accommodated delays in delivery of materials worked around the schedules of other contractors. We are very pleased with the overall renovation and really enjoy the bright modern look and warm comfortable feeling of this area of our home." Alain and Sharon Bouchard ![]() |
